The theme of “journey” as the dynamics of civilization has been told in the documentary named “TRAVELLER” consisting of 4 episodes.
During the history of culture, the journeys of mankind, inorder to discover, to invade,to trade or in quest of knowledge, were to search for “Himself”, ”His opposite”, ”His similar” and most important for “The Whole”
And mankind, in his physical and mental journeys, either by quarelling or by sharing, has written, the history, the history of culture .Therefore, it is not wrong to express that ” the history of civilization is the historical journey of pencil and sword” Traveller , tells this adventure.
In this documentary consisting of 4 episodes, the theme of journey has been based on 4 elements. ”Earth “, ”Fire”, ” Water “ and “Wind”. Because the journey of the universe and mankind, which has started from earth, wind, water and fire, has again continued with the quest for these 4 basic elements. In the programme, with journeys of goings and returnings in time, the adventure of mankind in infinity has been told .Searching for his past,his future,and the unknown through his physical and mental journeys.
Shortly, it is the adventure of finding his way and his tendencies.
It is about his goings and returnings in this adventurous journey of giving a meaning to life and himself, and his entering the depts of the unknown in an endless inquiry.
Therefore the theme gives us the opportunity to quest for any information relating to mankind, (like anthropology, art, positive sciences, history , mithology, thelogy, philosophy, etc.)
In the first episode, the knowledge of mankind obtained in his journey to earth, in the second episode the knowledge obtained in his journey to water, in the third episode the knowledge obtained in his journey to fireand in the fourth episode the knowledge obtained in his journey to wind have been told.
